These terms apply to the used vehicle search service offered by Huntly (full identification in the legal notice) to private individuals. You accept them before paying the deposit.
1. Purpose of the service
Huntly searches, on your behalf, for a used vehicle matching the criteria you have set, checks it and negotiates its price. Huntly is an intermediary: it neither buys nor sells the vehicle. The contract for the sale of the vehicle is concluded directly between you and the seller (garage or private individual).
2. Process
- You submit a free request with no obligation.
- Huntly calls you back within 48 working hours to confirm your criteria.
- You pay a deposit of €99: the search begins.
- Huntly presents you with up to 5 matching vehicles, in principle within 10 days.
- You choose a vehicle, sign the confirmation of choice and pay the balance of the fee and any bonus. Huntly then gives you the identity of the seller.
- A viewing of the vehicle is recommended. If you waive it, you sign an acceptance based on photos.
- You sign the order form with the seller. Nothing is bought without your written agreement.
- You pay for the vehicle directly to the seller.
3. Price
All prices include VAT.
- Under €5,000: €190
- €5,000 to €10,000: €340
- €10,000 to €20,000: €490
- €20,000 to €40,000: €590
- €40,000 to €50,000: €690
- €50,000 and over: €790
The fee depends on the price of the vehicle actually bought. Negotiation bonus: 20% of the difference between your maximum budget and the purchase price obtained, capped at €500. No bonus is due if the price obtained is not lower than your budget.
The €99 deposit is deducted from the fee. The balance and the bonus are paid when the confirmation of choice is signed, before you are put in touch with the seller. If the sale does not go through for a reason beyond your control (car not as described at the viewing, seller withdrawing), the balance paid is carried over to another suggested car, or refunded if you prefer. Options are charged in addition: garage inspection (€200), roadworthiness test (€150), delivery to your door (quote on request), import from abroad (from €690), trade in your car (free valuation), extended warranty (depends on the car). Their price is confirmed before they are ordered.
4. Special cases
- No matching vehicle found in time: the deposit is refunded, minus €30 in search costs. Huntly may suggest widening the criteria or extending the search.
- You refuse all the suggestions that match your criteria: the deposit is kept. A new search with adjusted criteria can be started for €49.
5. Huntly’s commitments
Huntly undertakes to use all reasonable means to find a matching vehicle (obligation of means). For each vehicle suggested, Huntly checks at least: the Car-Pass for Belgian vehicles, the available service history, the documents, whether the price makes sense and the Euro standard.
- No hidden commission: Huntly is never paid by a seller without you being informed.
- The money for the vehicle never passes through Huntly.
- Nothing is bought without your written agreement.
- The negotiation is conducted for you alone.
6. Your commitments
- Give accurate information about your criteria and budget.
- View the vehicle, or sign an acceptance based on photos if you waive the viewing.
- Pay for the vehicle directly to the seller, according to the terms agreed with them.
7. Warranty and liability
The warranty on the vehicle is the seller’s. Huntly is not the seller and cannot be held liable for defects in the vehicle. If there is a problem after the purchase, Huntly supports you in dealing with the seller. An extended warranty may be offered through a partner, as an option.
Huntly’s liability is limited to the amount of the fee paid, except in the case of serious or intentional fault.
8. Right of withdrawal
As the service contract is concluded at a distance, you have 14 days to withdraw, without giving a reason, from the payment of the deposit.
If you want the search to start before the end of this period, you must expressly request it (a box to tick when paying the deposit). If you then withdraw, you pay for the part of the work already done, in proportion to the service provided. The rest is refunded to you within 14 days.

10. Complaints and disputes
For any complaint, write to us at contact@huntly.be. We first look for an amicable solution. Failing that, you can contact the Consumer Mediation Service. These terms are governed by Belgian law.
